Rebates/Financing

HOME PERFORMANCE with ENERGY STAR program

Get up to $7,500 in Rebates

Following your Comprehensive Home Energy Assessment, American Home Performance will recommend a variety of energy efficiency improvements for your home. If you make the improvements, your utility contractor (Pepco or BGE) will reward you with rebates up to $7,500.*

American Home Performance will lower your out of pocket expense.

Once you have decided which improvements make the most sense for you and your budget, AHP will complete the upgrades and instead of waiting 6-8 weeks to receive your rebate from the utility company, we will accept assignment of your rebate and apply it as payment toward the contract to reduce your out of pocket expense.

Here’s how it works:

  • American Home Performance will give you a Prioritized List of Measures (PLOM). This list will help you determine which improvements will result in the greatest return on investment and address comfort, energy, health, and safety considerations.
  • You decide which solutions make sense for your home and budget. American Home Performance will prepare and submit the paperwork necessary to reserve the rebates for your improvements on your behalf.
  • Once the rebate reservation is approved, you will have 60 days to complete your chosen home improvements.
  • After the work has been completed, American Home Performance will perform a “Test Out” to verify the final energy savings and submit all necessary rebate documentation to ( Pepco or BGE) on your behalf.

*Total Maximum customer rebate up to $7500 or 75% of total project cost

Requirements:

You can choose to complete your home improvements all at one time, or you can break the recommended improvements into multiple phases. In order to qualify for rebates, each project or phase of improvement(s) must meet the following criteria:

  • The offer is valid for BGE/PEPCO residential customers applying through the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program only. Single family, townhomes and duplexes are eligible. Condominiums are not eligible
  • All rebate-eligible measures must be installed in compliance with ENERGY STAR, Building Performance Institute (BPI) and Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program standards.
  • In order to qualify for HPwES Program rebates, each project or phase of energy efficiency improvement(s) must be installed in compliance with ENERGY STAR, Building Performance Institute (BPI) and HPwES Program Standards.
